Candle Care

Follow these simple tips to get the most out of your Timber Creek Ranch candle.

🕯️ First Burn

Allow your candle to burn until the entire top layer of wax has melted to the edges on the first use. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the life of your candle.  After the candle completely cools trim wick and relight to enjoy a long time.

✂️ Trim Your Wick

Before each burn, trim your wooden wick to about 1/4- 1/8 inch. This keeps the flame at the right height(about 1/2"), reduces soot, and extends burn time.  Wood wicks are each unique just like you.  So care varies with each candle. A large flame "burns off" the scent vs. "throwing off" the scent.  

⏱️ Burn Time

For best results, burn your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time or until you have a 1" of melted wax pool. Allow the candle to cool completely before trimming and relighting.

🔥 Safety First

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Read the safety label on the lid of each candle.
• Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.
• Always burn on a heat-resistant surface.
• Stop burning when 1/2 inch of wax remains.

🫙 Repurpose Your Jar

Once your candle is finished, clean out the jar and reuse it — it makes a great succulent planter, pen holder, or storage container. Very Texas of you.
